Liberty Professionals will go into this weekend’s Ghana Premier League Match Week 21 clash with Aduana Stars as a depleted side with as many as five first team players set to miss out.
SportsCrusader.com can confirm that, the Dansoman based side will be without their leading scorer Latif Blessing, midfield maestro Gerald Arkson as well as Skipper Samuel Sarfo, through injuries while Edward Ebo Mends and Bernard Arthur will also be missing through suspension and illness respectively.
The quintet have all been instrumental in the Scientific Soccer Lads imperious run of form in the first round of the campaign and their absence will be a big Blow to trainer George Lamptey who admitted his job is not secured following last weekend’s home defeat to Dreams FC.
In their absence, the coach is likely to maintain his trust in young defender Moro Lamine to partner veteran Maxwell Mensah in the central back role with Tamimu Muntari partnering Daniel Kodie and Kennedy Ashia in the midfield three.
Meanwhile the Liberty technical team have included striker Benjamin Eshun who is yet to fully recover from illness in the squad for the Aduana game and the former Hasaacas man is likely to partner Baba Zakari and babamu Addo in the front three.
Left back Richard Antwi will also provide Liberty with a boost in defense after missing out on the midweek clash with Medeama following his sending off in the defeat against Dreams FC last weekend.
Liberty are without a win in their last five games and a defeat against Aduana will further compound the pressure on George Lamptey and his technical team as their future with the club continues to be shrouded in doubt.
