Terminated: Kotoko Set To Part Ways With Toure "Again"

Ivorian Striker Set To Leave Kotoko

Asante Kotoko are set to part ways with their Ivorian international, Ahmed “Simba” Toure for lack of commitment, footballcrusader.com source has revealed.

Toure, 28, has a year left on his two year contract with the Porcupine Warriors. The Ivorian striker re-joined the Kumasi-based club last season after he controversial slipped through the fingers of bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

“We don’t know why he is not yet in Ghana. He was supposed to return to the country after the international break. But he is not here,” the source said.

“He has a year left on his contract and we are not pleased with his behavior because he is not committed to the course of the club in the upcoming season. So it will be better to part ways with him, “the source continued.

The 28-year old attacker moved to Nejmeh FC in Lebanon with a few matches to end the Ghana League season but the deal failed to materialize after the Lebanese outfit failed to meet Asante Kotoko’s asking price.

The forward ended the 2014/15 season as Kotoko’s top-scorer with 15 goals in all competitions.
