Berekum Chelsea attacker Saddick Adams has expressed his side’s readiness to use the First Trust G6 tournament as a preparatory ground for the coming season.
The former Ashgold forward believes the tight nature of the tournament and the availability of playing time for the entire playing squad will provide a platform to fine tune their preparation ahead of the 2016 season.
Saddick Adams returned to the country after a decade of European experience under his belt.
The former Athletico Madrid forward cited the frequency of the matches and the fact that it will provide that much needed competitive test as the reason his colleagues should capitalise on it.
The Berekum Chelsea new recruit however did not rule out an eye for the ultimate trophy but prefers to fine tune their playing pattern before the season kicks off.
“Berekum Chelsea is a new club to me and we are just working hard to build a team for the coming season. The GHALCA tourney is just among six of the best clubs in Ghana and it is going to be played in just three days. For me it is going to be a big pre-season for us to build a team.” Saddick told sports crusader.
He added, “it is going to be played in three days and that means there will be a match for every club on every single day. If we win the trophy it will boost our confidence and provide a good starting point for the season”.
Saddick Adams rose to fame after his impressive performance at the Peru 2005 Starlets team to earn a dream move to the Vicente Calderon in Spain with Athletico De Madrid.
