The vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has said that a date for the start of the new premier league season will be confirmed on Friday.
The new Premier League season has been delayed for about about due to legal tussle between club’s that will be promoted to join the remaining thirteen clubs.
Tema Youth FC, filed a petition against Dreams Football Club for registering a player with two different names. The Disciplinary Committee of FA punished the such player after finding him guilty or having tw different names, but left Dreams FC.
The decision did not go down well with Tema Youth who appealed the decision wanting Dreams FC disqualified as winners of Zone 3, but it was thrown out.
The FA decision was reported to the Court of Arbitration for Sports, but they snubbed the report.
Techiman City is a another club who are in legal tussle with the FA after the Disciplinary Committeee demoted them to Division two for alleged match-fixing with Wa Africa United.
They appealed and it was withheld pending hearing.
