Kotoko New Players Will Make The Team Stronger
Ex Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Joe Hendricks has lauded coach David Duncan and his scouts for spotting the right talents and players and praised management for approving the signing of the new recruits.
Hendricks who captained Kotoko and was involved in notable duels with potent strikers during his time in the Ghana premier league has still got his eyes set on his old clubs development.
The bulkydefender was speaking after Kotoko emerged victorious iin thr just ended GHALCA First Trust G6 tournament after the Porcupine Warriors had divided its team into two with the first team leaving for Libya.
His hard tackling got the love and affecton of the Kotoko faithfuls who nicknamed him ‘Oribo’ in the Ghanaian dialect meaning ‘he’s coming’ in reference to his readiness to tackle the striker.
In a radio intervew with Boss FM in Kumasi, Hendricks said, “Kotoko’s performance was splendid and happy they won the trophy as well. This victory confirms Kotoko are having a good preseason preparation under coach David Duncan.”
“I hope the players carry this form into the new season and do better than the second place position the club booked in the 2014/15 season,” he added.
