FK Haugesund coach Mark Dempsey says he will need to see more of Ghanaian midfielder Derrick Mensah before deciding on whether to sign him.
The former Ghana U20 star is currently in Norway undergoing trials with the hope of landing a permanent deal this January.
Mensah has been with Haugesund since the turn of the year but coach Dempsey wants to see more of the Ghanaian before taking a definite decision over his future at the club.
“Mensah and Tronstad are good players and have qualities, but we’ll see them better when we play game Saturday,” Dempsey said.
“Both are midfielders, but Mensah is perhaps a little more defensive than Tronstad. We can accommodate all good players.
“We need players. If both impresses enough, then we will sign both. But it is far away.”
Mensah will return to his mother club in Czech Republic Banik Ostrava if he is unable to secure a permanent move to Haugesund.
