Kenichi Will Be Hearts’ “Herbert Addo Of 2003” – Former Hearts Player
Former Accra Hearts of Oak number one, Saani Mohammed, has called for more support than criticism for under fire coach, Kenichi Yashuashi.
The Japanese-American’s tacticians qualities and competencies have been questioned by some former players of the club, the Hearts fans and former management members notably, Alhaji Fawad Zouk and Harry Zakkour.
Sani a member of the famous squad that conquered Africa in 2004 after defeating bitter rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko on penalties has added his voice to the small number who have thrown their weight behind the under pressure boss.
Mohammed said, “don’t use pre-season to judge Kenichi Yashuashi. In 2003 Herbert Addo lost most of his pre-season matches but ended the season unbeaten and finished in second place.”
He ended with a plea to critics to “give him (Coach Kenichi Yashuashi) up to the second half of the season.”
Sani Mohammed has hanged up his boots and is currently a member of the Ghana Police officer.
