Kotoko vows to break down Al Ahly in an international friendly

Samuel Opoku Nti, General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has said his outfit will redeem the sunken image of their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak as they trek to Libya to engage in an international friendly.

Kotoko is currently in Lybia to engage in an international friendly at the invitation of Al Ahly of Tripoli.

It would be recalled the same side invited Hearts for an international friendly, with the phobians losing two matches on a 5-0 aggregate.

He said though Kotoko is aware of the challenge ahead they are poised at putting up a good show with the sole aim of winning the competition.

According to Opoku Nti, Kotoko sees the game in Libya as a national responsibility following the poor performance in the north African recently.

“We hope to bring good news to Ghana. We hope beat them because we have a very good team capable of making Kotoko and Ghana proud.” He stated.

He said the team is aware of the challenge ahead in Lybia and they will work hard to ensure good results in the two match international friendly.
