Ashantigold goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he has no doubts in his mind that his team will repeat a win against MO Bejaia in the second leg match of the CAF Champions League.
Ashantigold piped the North Africans 1-0 thanks to a lone goal by defender Tijani Joshua in the 60th minute, but the fans think it’s not enough ahead of the return leg encounter in Algeria knowing very well how teams fare there.
“In everything that happens we must give thank to God and I am happy that we won the game and have the three points. I am happy that we did not concede any goal here and going into the second leg we look good”, Fatau mentioned after the game.
The fans indeed came in their numbers and I admit that we could have scored a couple of more goals, but that to me is irrelevant now since we won the game anyhow.”
“That notwithstanding, I am confident that we will record another win in Algeria during the second leg.”
