The national table tennis team have failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics in the African Olympic Qualifier that took place in Khartoum,Sudan.
Ghana was represented by the duo of the current National champion Felix Lartey and the former championship Dennis Abrefa, who were highly ranked athlete going into this qualifiers.
The duo qualified in the preliminary rounds and made it into the Round of 16 which was a knockout stage,both athlete then lost their matches and were subsequently eliminated from the tournament.
In an interview with the Coach of the national team,Mr. Owusu Ansah expressed his disappointment of the failure of the team in not making it to the Olympic but still emphasized the possibility of qualification through the wild when they are been selected by the International Table Tennis Federation.
