Accra Hearts of Oak defeated newly promoted Ghana premier league side, Dreams FC in a club friendly game that was organised to commission the refurbished Dawu stadium that will serve as home ground for the team.
Dreams FC whose promotion has been contested due to the legibility a player arranged the game with the 20-times GPL side to fine tune preparations for life in the top division of Ghana Football.
The pair met in a two leg form friendly that saw managers Charles Akunnor of Dreams FC and Kenichi Yatshuashi of Hearts test the depth of their squads as the 2015/16 GPL commences in a fortnight.
Hearts defeated Dreams by 2-goals to one in the second match with goals coming in from Eric Kumi in the first half and Essuman added the second after Dreams had equalised.
In the first game of the day, goals from Kwame Kizito and Oduro ensured the phobians recorded a victory over the new premier league side.
Hearts put in a spectacular shift that showed glimpses of the team finally playing to the tune of their Japanese-American tactician, Kenichi who has had a torrid time both on and off the pitch.
Hearts haven’t lost a game since the last defeat to Berekum Chelsea in the maiden GHALCA G6 tournament.
