I Signed For Premier League Club, Techiman City And Not ...

Techiman City striker, Stephen Manu has made clear his position at the club with regards to their demotion to second division of Ghana football by the Ethics committee of the Football Association.

Manu joined the Techiman City based side in the the off season after stints abroad and was looking forward to the commencement of the league but the news of the clubs demotion to division two has changed his perception of the club.

The Ethics committee of the GFA ruled on a bribery allegation levelled against Techiman City by Was Africa United when the pair were involved in the 2014/15 GN Bank division season.

Wa Africa United allegedly  received Ghc2000 (Two thousand Ghana cedis) in cash from Techiman City to play a fixed match Techiman City through club president, Charles Kumi alias ‘Techiman’ Micky Charles ‘ has denied the allegations and willing to fight off.

“I signed for Techiman City as a premier league club and not as a division 3 club and the contract form will attest to that, ” he told Kumasi based Boss fm.

”The contractual agreement doesn’t bound on me to join the club to the third division and so it remains if the club decides to accept the ruling from the ethics committee then I’m out Techiman City will go down alone whilst I look for a new chapter in my playing career,” he added.

Techiman City have officially declared Monday as when they submit their case to the Appeals committee.
