Manchester united were bookmakers favourite to win against Sunderland and after conceding an early goal came into the game and dominated with a sublime finish from French forward, Anthony Martial.

The 20-times English premier league champions went into the game hoping to win and close the gap on Tottenham Hotspurs who lie in 3rd place.

Manchester united started the second half poor and Sunderland’s display proved they needed the recess to redress the team as the away side, United dominated every department of the game.

A poor marking from arguably United’s player of the season and only man to have played every game for the red devils this season, Chris Smalling meant Kone was left with a free header at goal that De Gea couldn’t prevent after saving Ndoye’s one-on-one effort.

The defeat lives Manchester united in 5th place with 41-points and a win for Westham united will see the Hammers leapfrog into 5th.
