Use Champions League To Showcase Your Talent - Obuasi MCE Tells AshGold Players.

Ashanti Gold players have been urged to push harder to the apex of this year’s CAF Champions League by the Municipal Chief Executive of Obuasi, Hon. Kwame Ofori Agyemang to gain recognition across the globe.


Ashanti Gold will represent Ghana at the upcoming CAF inter-club football competition — CAF Champions League and Honourable Kwame Ofori Agyemang want the Miners to lift high the flag Ghana in the competition.


Honourable Kwame Ofori Agyemang last offered financial assistance of $10,000 to the club to the boost their preparations for the campaign, and he has added words of encouragement to the technical team and playin body of the club.


He said that the players should see the game as a huge opportunity to showcase their talent to the outside world in order to attract foreign deals when the competition comes to a close.


‘’I know the team is aware of what the Obuasi township and the whole of Ghana expect from them,” Kwame Ofori began in an interview with Boss FM.


“I believe every player knows that it is an opportunity to sell himself across the shores of Ghana and they know they have to put up an extra performance to aid them achieve the career ambitions in future.


“I believe they players will do us good because they know it can even land them a foreign contract,’’ He added.


He continued that: “We (the people of Obuasi) use the team to pride ourselves, and we know the kind of recognition we got when they won the league. So we will do everything possible for them to win.


“Financially, plans are far advanced to help them mobilized the needed funds through raffles which the assembly have decided to give prizes to those who will involve themselves.’’ He stated.


AshGold won the ticket to represent Ghana in the Champions League after dethroning Asante Kotoko to the league title las season.
