Swansea City’s Ghanaian international, Andre Ayew could be out for two weeks due to an ankle injury, according to Coach Alan Curtis.
The 26-year-old winger, who has scored eight goals this season, missed his side’s 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday due to the setback and is a doubt for next Saturday’s home Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
“I would not have thought so. It’s probably going to be a couple of weeks (out). He just turned his ankle. He’s probably doubtful for the Villa game,” Curtis told BBC Radio Wales.
This development means Black Stars Coach Avram Grant won’t have the former Marseille forward for Ghana’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.
Ghana will host Mozambique on Thursday March 24 at the Accra Sports Stadium in an AFCON 2017 qualifier.
