Newly elected FIFA President Gianni Infantino has made a familiarization tour to Ethiopia on the request of the Ethiopian Football Federation on Wednesday.
The trip was the first on the African continent as a sitting President of the highest football governing body in the world since his election in the February polls.
The Swiss replaced compatriot Josep Sepp Blatter in the February General Election and is expected to make massive changes across the embattled organization ahead of the 2018 Mundial.
Infantino held off competition from Sheik Saliman for the highest seat in world football administration after the expulsion of long serving Josep Sep Blatter late last year.
The newly installed FIFA Boss is expected to supervise the ongoing FIFA Goal Project and fastest developing Ethiopian Youth Academy.
The EFF invited the 45 year to the East African country as part of its rebranding on the domestic scene.
The FIFA Goal project is a worldwide initiative by the governing body that is aimed at making football accessible to the poor across the globe.
