Former Ghana Black stars number one goal keeper, Abukari Damba has mentioned Hearts has shamed those who doubted their capabilities and gave them not even a dog chance prior to the commencement of the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.
The 2008 Ghana premier league champions has started the season much to the surprise of the pundits and bookmakers who gave the Phobians an outside chance to win the trophy that has eluded them for the past 8-years.
Abukari Damba who was part of the professional footballers association of Ghana (pfaG) executives that visited the Ashaiaman cluster of schools to officially launch ‘football for water’ program spoke to sportscrusader.com

He said, “Accra hearts were not given a dogs chance but the club had the believe in the appointment of Kenichi Yatshuashi as head coach after many questioned the competence of the Japanese-American tactician.”
He added, “Hearts’ performance in the first two games to the was very impressive as tactically the players are talented, have the belief in their own ability and play as a team as well. It is early days in the season yet but there are better days ahead.”
Hearts travel next to Cape Coast to face Dwarfs in match week 3 of the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.
