It Is Must For Us To Win Matches - Veteran Stephen Oduro

Kumasi Asante Kotoko legend, Stephen Oduro has told his colleagues that it is their responsibility to win matches in order to make their fans happy all the time.

The Porcupine Warriors has been passengers in this year’s Ghana Premier League, losing two and drawing two in four games.

As the norm in football is, the trend of poor results has put head coach David Duncan’s future on the line, and pressure is mounting on the team.

The record premier league champions match week five fixture against Sekondi Hasaacas has become the match the Porcupine Warriors must not lose in the competition they’ve been unparalleled in the last four seasons.

Though Stephen Oduro who is in his seventeenth season with the Kumasi-based club brushed off claims that they are under the pressure to win this evening, he has told his teammates it is their duty to win matches and put smiles on the faces of Porcupine faithfuls.

“We all have held meetings and we have resolved to put in our best,” the veteran midfielder said ahead of the game against Hasaacas later today.

“There is nothing like pressure we are footballers and we know very well that it’s our duty to play well and give back to our fans.” he said.

Kotoko is 14th on the league table with only two points from four matches.
