Midfielder, Theophilus Nyame has thanked Stephen Oduro for the impact he has had on him since he joined Asante Kotoko during the last transfer window.
Nyame signed to play for the Porcupines from Sekondi Hasaacas and has said the former Ghana youth international, Oduro, has been someone he has looked up to since he joined.
“When we are in camp, he is my room-mate, and, he advices on what to do and what not to do if you want to be successful at a big club like Asante Kotoko,” Nyame told the Kumasi press on Friday ahead of their league game with Medeama SC on Sunday.
“Oduro has been here for more than a decade, and knows everything about this football club as a player, and, the influence he is having on me has been great and I have to thank him a lot for this.” He added.
The combative midfielder will hope to make his competitive debut for Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium after missing out on their opening day Ghana Premier League defeat to WAFA at Sogakope through injury.
“I am fully fit now and ready to get my season going, and, if I am given the chance to play, I will give off my best in the best interest of Asante Kotoko, a club I have dreamt of playing for since I was a child.”
