Players Fielded Against Liberty Below Inter Allies Standard - Willi Klutse

The Technical Director of Inter Allies, Willie Klutse has said that the team head coach Herbert Addo fielded against Liberty Professionals last weekend are not up to the standard required by the club.

Herbert Addo made as many as nine changes to the starting lineup that started against Aduana Stars, with reasons that he was protecting the players from injuries and further acquisition of yellow cards, and suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Carl Reindolf Park.

But Willie Klutse, the technical director of the Tema-based club, has revealed that the players were agitating for the opportunity to show the club their worth and that was the reason behind the changes to the set-up.

“There were a lot of rumours in the team amongst players who didn’t get the chance to play against Aduana Stars that they should also be given the opportunity to play for the sake of winning bonus,” the 1978 Africa Cup of nations winner told Accra-based radio station, Happy FM.

“And because we have Elite Cup, FA Cup, in addition to the league to play, we decided to test their strength against Liberty Professionals.” He revealed

He also noted that the output of the players is below what they expected.

“Per what they showed in the game, they are not up to the level we expected,” he said.
