"There"s Reason To Be Grateful To God" - Veep

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has urged Ghanaians to be grateful to God for his blessings over the nation through the years. He said though the nation had stumbled along the way, it had not fallen, therefore, Ghanaians had every reason to give praise to the Lord.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur made the statement, on Wednesday, when he attended a National Crusade (The Wesleyan Revival Crusade) together with his wife. The crusade dubbed: “Ghana for Christ”  is a four-day event being organized by the Methodist Archdioceses of Accra, in collaboration with Dr Lawrence Tetteh, the President of the Miracle World Outreach Ministries at the Black Star Square in Accra.

The crusade slated for March 9-13,  is to pray for the country and to promote a peaceful and transparent general election in November.

In attendance were the Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante, the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, and a former Presiding Bishop, Rev. Samuel Asante Antwi.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur urged Ghanaians to put their hope in God that the country would continue to flourish in harmony and strength. He said Ghana continued to be the envy of many countries in the Sub-region because of the peace and stability it enjoyed. He said though the nation had challenges, the country had not experienced the strife and tension that other nations had gone through.

Dr. Tetteh, speaking on the topic: “Whosoever believes”, urged Christians to put their trust in Christ. Preaching on this topic, he said, “Christ is bigger than all financial, social, economic and medical problems, therefore, there is no difficulty that he cannot resolve.”

He reminded Christians that unless the Lord watched over Ghana, the watchmen would watch but in vain.
