Two Killed After Riots In Moroccan League Match ( Watch Video)

Two fans have lost their lives and 54 spectators sustained injury after during a football match between Raja de Casablanca and Chabab Rif Al Hoceima  in Casablanca, Morocco, as riots erupted in the stands.

According to Morocco World News relayed a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, via the Maghreb Arab Press, which said that two fans died and another 54 were injured during the contest at the Mohammed V stadium on Saturday night.


AAP mail reported the riot began after the final whistle.


The information provided by the press suggests the fighting broke out between separate supporter groups of Raja de Casablanca—the home side—during their match with Chabab Rif Al Hoceima.


AAP reported that 30 rioters have been arrested in connection with the clashes, which also saw cars damaged outside the stadium.


Raja are 11-time champions of Morocco, with their most recent title coming in the 2012-13 campaign. They finished as runners-up in the 2013 Club World Cup.
