We Will Sponsor The GPL if Need Be- MTN

Acting Chief Marketing Officer of Telecommunications Company, MTN, Mr. Noel Kojo-Ganson has disclosed that his firm will not hesitate to come on board and sponsor the Ghana Premier League if necessary.

According to him, if his outfit is approached by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to come on board and sponsor the country’s top flight league, they will consider it.

Speaking to SportsCrusader.com at the Launch of the 2015/2016 MTN FA Cup, Mr. Kojo-Ganson said MTN will sponsor the Ghana Premier League if there is the need.

“There are different facets of football that we [MTN] can take on board and as and when necessary, we will look at it” he said.

“At one time we were part of it and another time we were not part of it so I think some of these discussions will come up and as we go along, we will discuss them and we will measure the benefits.

“And if need be, Why not? Since we are here and football is one of our pillars, we will look at the opportunities that are available and we will support it if we can”, Mr. Kojo-Ganson added.

On whether the Ghana Premier League is worth sponsoring, Mr. Kojo-Ganson stated that the basis of whether any product is worth sponsorship at present is not what matters but rather the value a company stands to derive going forward.
