Roselyn Amoh, Vice Chairperson of the Women’s League Board has mentioned the game at the female level is developing and thus will grade it at B+.
The game at the women level has seen a tortoise-pace level of development even though they were the first to qualify for a World Cup at the senior national team stage.
Amoh admits in all the challenges that has beleaguered the development and growth of the sport there has been vast improvement in comparison to the early stage.
She said, “if we are to perhaps give a percentage to women football, we will score it at 65 percent. With the consistency chalked at the women level in terms of qualifying for World Cup and African cup tournaments at all levels though the women’s league has its own peculiar challenges spearheaded by no sponsor is a plus”.
“In terms of awareness people know of the women league but the financial support is what is lacking. Ghana has qualified to World Cup’s, won gold at the All African Games (AAG) 2015 and so many more and on this note I’ll rate the state of women football at grade B+,” she added.
