Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold Sporting Club, Kudjo Fianoo, says he is ready to relinquish his position if he is the problem of the club.
Mr Fianoo has been the head of administration of the Miners for almost a decade, and they chalked success in the league last year for the first time after almost two decades.
The defending league champions however this year, have been abysmal and fans of the club want the hierarchy to leave their post.
Kudjo Fianoo has revealed he is ready to resign if only it will change the fortunes of the Miners.
“Things are not going on well for the club at all but we need to be focused and bring back the ship to life.
“AshGold have structures you cannot wake up and do what you want. I have received a letter from the supporters this morning requesting for my resignation I will forward the letter to the board of directors of the club and if they think my resignation will resurrect the woes of the club I don’t have any problem.
“But for now I need to keep it cool and meet the board,“ Kudjo Fianoo told Kumasi-based radio station, Nhyira FM.
“I was expecting that the entire AshGold fraternity will come together and look for the way forward and not point accusing fingers.
“However, I can’t hide my feelings all these issues have been there long but it was over shadowed because of the league we won last season,” he added.
The Miners are 12th on the league log and will next face New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Stadium in a local derby of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) next week Wednesday.
