Schlupp, Amartey Nominated For Leicester City Club Award

Ghanaian international duo Jeffery Schlupp and Daniel Amartey have been nominated for the young player of the season award at Leicester City.


Amartey and Schlupp will compete for the top award together with the likes of Liam Moore, Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray. Both players have being an integral part of the Leicester City set.


Schlupp despite suffering an injury has played an influential role in the team’s title chase this season.


The 23-year-old won a crucial penalty for his side which earned them an important 2-2 draw at home to West Ham United over the weekend.


Amartey on the other has braced himself into the Leicester team since joining the Club from Danish side FC Copenhagen.


The versatile defender who has made seven appearances for the Club so far this season has excelled in various positions in the team. Schlupp however won the coveted award at the Club last season.


Leicester City are currently leading the race to becoming EPL champions having already accumulated 73 pionts followed by Totteham Hostpurs who have 68 with only four matches to go.
