Akunnor Worried Of Dreams Defensive Woes

Dreams FC head Coach, Charles Kwabena Akunnor blamed his side defense after their humiliating defeat against Aduana Stars.

The Kweiman-based club were hammered 4-0 in Dormaa, their heaviest loss since qualifying for the Ghana Premier League (GPL) at the end of last season.

And Coach Akunnor attributed the loss to poor concentration on the part of his back line.

“We were defensively poor and we lacked concentration and we lost it and in our last match we played in Berekum the same thing happened to us,” Akunnor said after the game.

“It makes the job very difficult but I am willing to work to change that mentality we have especially the way we defend and change the way we concentrate in games and do what we can do best,” he said.

“We were able to play and possess that ball but defensively we were very poor and it made the entire team very poor,” the former Ghana captain added.

Dreams FC dropped to sixth on the league log with that defeat, and, will next play Liberty Professionals at Dawu in their next GPL game.
