Chelsea have reportedly informed Radamel Falcao that he has no future at the club, following his unsuccessful loan spell this season.
The Colombia international joined the Blues on a temporary deal last summer, but has been unable to move ahead of Diego Costa, or even back-up Loic Remy, in the pecking order.
He has also struggled with injury, having endured a lay-off lasting 20 league games. His susceptibility to knocks is becoming a trend, likely stemming from his rushed – and failed – effort to recover from an ACL in time for the 2014 World Cup.
Though one of the world’s most clinical centre-forwards during his time with Porto and Atletico Madrid, Falcao has now shown no semblance of form for over two seasons.
This has caused Chelsea to opt against a permanent transfer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The report claims that the Blues have already made their decision clear to the 30-year-old, who ideally wanted to fight for a place under incoming manager Antonio Conte.
Falcao’s wish of staying in the Premier League is set to falter, the source suggests, whilst Serie A giants Roma are attempting to sign him.
