Liberty Midfielder Apologizes For Costly Mistake

Liberty Professionals youngster, Gerald Arkson has apologized to the fans of the club as well as his team mates and the technical team for his mistake during his side’s 3-2 home loss to Aduana Stars last Sunday.

The 18-year old highly rated midfielder has been impressive since his promotion from the club’s youth set up at the beginning of the 2014/2015 season but has come under criticism after his misplaced back pass went the way of Aduana Striker Yahya Mohammed who scored the Dormaa based side’s second goal at the Carle Reindorf Park.

The Ogya lads went on to win the game 3-2 and speaking in an exclusive interview, Arkson stated that the back pass was a mistake and he takes full responsibility for the defeat.

“I apologize to my fans, my team mates and the coaches for the incident that happened on Sunday”, he told SportsCrusader.com.

“Never will I do something intentional as the games keep going, to let the team down. It was a mistake and I take the responsibility. All I ask them for is to forgive me”, Arkson added.

The defeat was Liberty’s first at the Dansoman Carle Reindorf Park since the Start of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.
