Coach of Liberty Professionals, George Lamptey has thrown out a word of advice to the fraternity of the Great Oak tree,Accra Hearts of Oak’s that they should forget about winning the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title as he didn’t witness any mark of future champions when he beat them by a goal to nil at the Accra Sports Stadium in matchday 14 in the GPL.
Hearts were very terrible in their play, showing a lack of purpose and demonstrated signs of fatigue as they were unable to get even a point from the game, but are joint top with WA All stars on the GPL standings, with All Stars leading the table on goal difference.
In a post match interview, Coach Lamptey said; “if this is really the way Hearts of Oak play it will be extremely difficult for them to lift the GPL trophy, we were expecting a very stiff opposition from Hearts, but they were tactically disorganized especially in the first half and we should have finished them in that half but my boys were comfortable with their play”.
The former player of Great Olympics also reiterated that Hearts should back off from the league title as there were not convincing enough with the play.
Liberty who are now fourth on the GPL table and will be looking to go straight to the top when they are able to beat Medeama SC in their outstanding league at home, and the coach is very certain of that despite the threat posed by the Tarkwa boys
