Yussif Abubakar has said that he has abandoned his coaching responsibilities with Techiman City due to the for fear of losing his life after he was attacked by fans of the club.
The former Heart of Lions coach has not been available at his duty post for Techiman-based club since their matchday 15 stalemate against Ashanti Gold.
And the officials of the club has written to their employee to explain his absence.
“I have received a letter that I should answer why I have not been coming to training and I am going to respond to that,” he told Asempa FM.
“I’ll state my reasons in my response because I can’t say everything here,” he said
He added that: “I am not a coach who loves complaining about my clubs but security is very important. I am not from Techiman so if supporters come threatening my life, I must not take that as a joke.
Techiman City will host Asante Kotoko on match week 16 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
