Accra Hearts of Oak will defend the Presidents’ Cup they won last year against sworn rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Ironically, the Phobians beat their bitter rivals 5-4 on penalties to win last year’s edition at the Accra Sports Stadium after the game ended goalless after 90 minutes.
The annual ceremonial match which is usually played in honour of Ghana’s sitting President is organized by the Ghana League Club’s Association (GHALCA).
The two biggest clubs in Ghana will square off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, 1 July 2016 for the converted trophy.
The organizing body, GHALCA has already informed both clubs about the upcoming game, and, both have confirmed their readiness for the game.
