Former Hearts Player Dies At 24

Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Uriah Asante has passed on, according to reports.

The 24-year-old midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Monday.

Asante becomes the latest football player to pass away in a year that has seen several football icons including Nigerian Coach Stephen Keshi lost their lives.

Asante played for Hearts of Oak on loan from Pure Joy FC and blossomed in two seasons.

He then left for Tunisia to play for Etoile du Sahel and EGS Gafsa.
