Christ Embassy Church will Organise a two-day football tournament at the Ho Barracks Park on the Saturday June 11 and Sunday June 12, 2016.
The tournament aimed at spreading the word of God through football.
Flyers from the church will be given out to people who will come around to witness the program which will involve eight U-14 clubs from the Volta Region.
The tournament will see the two groups, (A and B) play a round robin after which 2 top teams from each group will progress to the semifinals.

Speaking to the media in the build up to the event, Wisdom Ifeanyi, the Technical director of the Sports department of the Christ Embassy Church, said he’s not seen any football activity for the young people in the region for the past 8 months, and he believes they’ll make the tournament better and bigger in subsequent editions.
“We are using this for a start and promise a bigger tournament which the whole of Volta will hear of. In Volta region, there’s no tournament going on so far; I have been in Volta for the past 8 months and there’s no tournament for the young guys and the youth teams have not been playing. So we want to make use of their talent and educate them morally in the word of God. We are spreading the word of God through soccer.” He said.
The draw for the tournament was held on Thursday and bellow are the group pairing.
Group A:
Mplaas FC, Dome EP, Asogli SC, and Royals FC,’
