Striker Sam Yeboah wants to see Accra Hearts of Oak start the second round of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) on a perfect note by winning against Dreams FC.
The Phobians lie fourth on the GPL log with 26 points, two adrift of leaders Wa All Stars at the half way point of the campaign.
And Yeboah who has three goals in the GPL this season, has called for a quick start to the next round if they are to overhaul the deficit between them and those above them.
Hearts will play Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium in their opening game of the second round with further games coming against Liberty Professionals (Dansoman), Aduana Stars (Accra), Hasaacas (Sekondi) and Berekum Chelsea (Accra) ahead of other encounters.
Yeboah wants to see the Phobians pick maximum points from these encounters and when done, believes it could propel them to the top from where they will build on as they chase a first league title in eight years.
“I want to see a quick start to the second round for Accra Hearts of Oak especially in the opening five games, and, if we win them all, we will be in a good position to win the ultimate at the end of the campaign,” Yeboah told the club’s official newspaper, the Hearts News.
“This will put a lot of pressure on those that we will play later, and, I am confident that our efforts would be crowned with success at the end of the season”.
“We have been working hard at training during this mini break and from what I have seen, I can say that we will be ready for the resumption of the league,” the experienced striker added.
Yeboah is in training with the rest of his colleagues as they continue with their preparations for the start of the second round of the GPL which has been fixed to start on the weekend of 25/26 June.
