Kumasi Asante Kotoko could face Wa All Stars in the last four of the MTN FA Cup competition should both win their quarter-final ties this weekend.
Kotoko will play fellow Ghana Premiership side Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday with All Stars engaging second tier side Wa Rockets at the Wa Park in a local derby.
The winners of the two games on Sunday, will meet at the semi-final stage of this year’s competition for a place in the grand finale.
Should they meet, it will be an opportunity for Kotoko to seek revenge over All Stars who beat them 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) early in the season.
All Stars lead the GPL log at the half way point of the season as they chase their first major silverware in Ghana football.
In the other quarter final games this weekend, top-flight side, Liberty Professionals will play Elmina Sharks of the First Division at the Dansoman Park with Okwawu United hosting the West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) at the Nkawkaw Park.
The winner of those ties will meet in the last four of the competition for a place in the final.
