Tite Is New Brazil Coach

Dunga’s replacement as Brazil national team coach has been named by the country’s football federation, the CBF.

The former captain was sacked after Brazil’s elimination from the group stages of the Copa América Centenário, and Tite has been named as the new coach.

The news was confirmed by Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade, who was furious with the approach from Brazilian football federation, and said that they did not deserve a professional like Tite.

Tite met Brazil FA president Marco Polo Del Nero on Tuesday night and after discussions which lasted three hours, made his decision on Wednesday.

Tite, who made Corinthians World Club champions in 2012 with a victory over Premier League side Chelsea, wanted the Brazil job after the dismissal of Luiz Felipe Scolari, but CBF snubbed him and appointed Dunga.

Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade said: “From today, Tite no longer works with us. He has accepted the invitation from CBF”.

He added: “I was the first person he told about the decision. Until two hours ago, I thought that he wouldn’t go, I was surprised. CBF do not deserve to have a professional with the character that Tite has.”

Brazil Fire Dunga Following Poor Copa America

The Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) have sacked senior national team coach Dunga following the team’s exit from the Copa America.

The Selecao suffered a disappointing group stage exit from the competition hosted in the United States of America, after one draw, a win and a defeat to Peru on Sunday.

After a meeting at the CBF headquarters, it was announced that Dunga and his entire technical team have been relieved of their duty with the national team.

“The Brazilian Football Confederation informs that it has decided this Tuesday to dissolve the coaching staff of the Brazilian national football team,” said a statement from the CBF.

“Coordinator Gilmar Rinaldi, coach Dunga and all their technical staff will leave their positions.”

“The decision was made in mutual agreement in this afternoon’s meeting and the CBF will now start its selection process for a new Brazil coaching staff.

“The CBF thanks the dedication, professionalism and commitment of the team in its work.”

The former World Cup-winning gaffer took over from Luis Felipe Scolari after the 2014 World Cup on home soil.

Future Of Dunga As Brazil Coach To Be Discussed

Senior leaders with power and influence in the Brazilian Football Federation (CSF) want to change coach Dunga and team coordinator Gilmar Rinaldi.

The Brazilian FA have growing concerns over Dunga following the recent results of the team, and is even considering appointing a new coach for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this August.

Officially, the organization haven’t commented on the subject, Gilmar Rinaldi said that the “planning is maintained for the Copa América and the Olympic Games.”

However, according to Globo Esporte, changes are being discussed by the Football Federation, and there will be a series of meetings next week to discuss the future of the national team, with the first one scheduled for Tuesday.

Several CBF leaders will participate in this discussion, but the decision must pass through president Marco Polo Del Nero, who chose Dunga and Gilmar to lead the national team after the failure at the 2014 World Cup.

The standard of football being displayed under Dunga is considered worse than the team’s results.

As mentioned in the report, the selection of players by the coach are not questioned; for example, Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, who has been constantly ignored by Dunga, has a very bad image among the leaders.

Still, some line-ups of the coach begins to generate critics and there is a view that Dunga is losing the confidence of his players.

According to the information from Brazilian journalist Paulo Vinícius Coelho, everything indicates that Dunga will stay as Brazil’s head coach until the end of the Copa América Centenário.

But a source within the CBF has informed him that Dunga has his work analyzed, and the tournament in the United States may be his last test.

He adds that, chances of Dunga continuing after the Copa América are slim without the title, unless the football displayed is absolutely charming.
