I Will Keep Working Hard To Improve - Musah Inusah

Accra Hearts of Oak defender Inusah Musah has said he will keep working hard to improve on his performances for the club and also on a personal level.

The pillar in defence for the Phobians who missed the entire first round of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) with injury, won his fourth Man-of-the-Match (MOTM) award in his last seven games after last Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Ebusua Dwarfs in Accra.

“I am very happy to have won the man of the match award,” he said after the game and promised to work even harder to sustain his performance.

He appreciated fans of the club for the support offered him especially when he was injured and promised not to let them down on any day.

“Our supporters will let you know when you are doing well and they will also let you know when you are not doing well” he said, stressing that this always inspires the players to perform.

“I am happy that they appreciate what I do and that does not mean I will stop or get swollen headed. I want to improve some more and give of my best at all times” he added.

Inusah will hope to play a part in the remaining two games of the season as Hearts continue to harbour hopes of winning the GPL title.

The Phobians are third on the table, three points behind the top two and will need to win all of their remaining games to stand in with a chance of winning the title.

Hearts of Oak will play Medeama SC in Accra on Wednesday with their last game scheduled to come off at the Nana Gyamfi Park, Bekwai against already relegated New Edubiase United.

Inusah Musah Back For Hearts Against Techiman City

Centre back Inusah Musah is eligible to play for Accra Hearts of Oak in their next Ghana Premier League (GPL) game against Techiman City on Sunday.

The Phobians will host the league debutants in a Match-Day 24 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium and, Inusah is cleared to feature after serving a mandatory one match suspension for being sent off.

The tower in defence was sent off for two bookable offences in Hearts’ Match-Day 22 encounter with AshantiGold SC at the Accra Sports Stadium and, had to miss their game with WAFA at Sogakope last Saturday.

His availability for Sunday’s game with Techiman City is good news to the club after Hearts’ defence were hugely exposed in the 0-3 defeat to WAFA at Sogakope.

Inusah’s absence was hugely felt as the academy lads run riot at the Hearts of Oak defence in closing the game as a contest within the first 30 minutes of play.

He missed all of the action in the first round of the season after picking up a serious injury in pre-season, but, has comeback strongly this second round with some commanding displays at the heart of the Hearts of Oak defence.

His calm and stable nature at the back would be needed most with seven games to end the season as Hearts chase a first league title since the season of 2008/09.

Inusah Musah Optimistic Of A Positive Second Round With Hearts

Defender, Inusah Musah says he is positive about his chances of getting playing time in the second round of the Ghana Premier League when it resumes later this month.

The Accra Hearts of Oak defender has not seen a single minute of action this season after being injured in the pre-season preparations which he described as unfortunate.

The good news is that he has fully recovered from that setback, and, has been in training for close to two months now as he seeks to get back into real match situation.

He remains positive that he will see action in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) in the second round, hoping to be part of the anticipated success story of the club at the end of the season.

“I have been in training for quite some time now, and, I can confidently say that I am fully fit and ready to go if handed the opportunity”, Inusah told the club’s official newspaper, the Hearts News.

“The second round of the competition will be fiercely fought, and, I intent to play a part along the line to make Hearts of Oak number one at the end of the campaign,” he assured.

“I am aware of the competition that lies ahead, but, I have never been afraid to fight for what is mine, and, I am determined to ensure that I get into the team at the earliest,” he promised.

The player will resume training with the team on Monday at the Legon Ajax Park to continue with their preparations for the second round of the GPL as they look to win a first title since the 2008/2009 season.

Accra Hearts of Oak finished the first round of the campaign with 26 points from 15 games, and, sits in fourth position, two points behind the leaders Wa All Stars.

The second round of the GPL is expected to begin on the weekend of 25/26 June, with Hearts’ first game against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
