The lawsuit includes Multimedia Group Limited as the GFA boss seeks a GhC8m ($2m) compensation in defamation and libel lawsuit after ‘years of consistent lies and calculated negative campaigns’.

The presenters and their media company are required by the court to file their witness statements by the end of the month after Nyantakyi produced over 100 recordings of lies calculated to defame him and the football federation.

The GFA President in his lawsuit claims that false reports about him were “broadcasted by Asempa FM throughout the world” via the internet and has severely damaged his reputation good name.

Led by one of Ghana’s best legal brains Teddy Sory, lawyers for Nyantakyi are seeking punitive damages for libelous statements calculated at damaging his reputation in the eyes of the public.

The Ghanaian law stipulates that, damaging someone’s reputation with false information is a crime that can carry a huge fine.

GFA Prez And Veep Not With Black Stars In Maputo

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi and his vice, George Afriyie did not travel with the Black Stars to Mozambique.

The senior national team left Ghana to Mozambique on Friday, but the fathers of  the country’s football, were not part of the contingent that travelled to Maputo.

For George Afriyie, sportscrusader.com reported earlier that the Black Stars Management Committee chairmans decision to stay away from the national team was conflicting.

And for the president of the association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, it is unclear why he didn’t travel with the team, and it is unclear whether he will join the contingent in Maputo for the upcoming Afcon qualifier later.

The president of the GFA and other members of the association bought tickets to watch the Black Stars against Mozambique at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.

The FA also bought tickets for their sponsors before they had access to watch the game.

If God Permits I Might Be GFA Prez But ... - Frank Nelson

Ghana Football Association (GFA) executive committee member, Frank Nelson Nwokolo has revealed his admiration to head the association in the near future should he be called upon and his believe in God agrees with the decision.

The GFA presidency seat has become an attractive brand since current head, Kwesi Nyantakyi was elected as president in 2005 after FIFA had issued an ultimatum to Ghana to fix her football challenges.

Frank Nelson who doubles as a board member of premier league club, Accra Heart of Oak admitted his rise to the top of Ghana football has been a smooth one but will still take it a step at a time as he is not overly zealous to contest for the presidency.

In an interview with sportscrusader.com, Mr. Nelson said, “I am not too ambitious in terms of getting to the top as I like things to go on smoothly and naturally but it is God who makes a king. Today I am the chairman of the national U-20 management committee, a member of the exco and chairman of the marketing and event committee of the GFA.”

He added, “I didn’t force my way up there but if tomorrow the mantra falls on me to head the association and it aligns with the will of God then I don’t think I will be able to turn down God’s offer.
