Hearts’ Offer Is Below My Expectation
Former FIFA U-20 world cup winner cum goalkeeper, Daniel Agyei, says the only hurdle blocking the deal with Accra Hearts of Oak is lack of agreement over the player’s proposal.
Agyei’s current deal with Liberty Professionals ends before the commencement of the new season and the goal keeper has shown interest in making the move to the Phobians. The Black Stars goal keeper revealed that Hearts’ offer fell below his expectation.
In an interview with the Graphic Sports, the 26-year-old said: “We had talks with Hearts and we presented a proposal but there was no agreement”. They came back with an offer but was difficult for me to accept it. I expected the parties involved to sit down and discuss an acceptable package”, he explained.
Agyei has confirmed his willingness to join the Phobians, saying: “I don’t want to talk about the money in the proposal we made to Hearts because it is a matter between two parties”.
However, Agyei, who just returned home from The Netherlands on vacation, said he was opened to any local big club.
