The President of Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) Ibrahim Sunday has expressed the desire of his members to help develop football in the country.
Sports in Ghana has been on the downward trend since the turn of the century especially with regards to the grassroots development.
In a brief interaction with the Minister of Youth and Sports Honorable Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, Sunday said “we are prepared to help with the development of the sport especially with technical aspect of the game, but we are not happy about our neglect”.
The former African footballer of the year, also emphasized on the need for major stakeholders to develop an interest in their activities, so that they can thoroughly prepare towards an agenda that will yield a positive dividend.
“We have over nine national teams in the country and almost all of us are included in their technical or management structure,” Coach Sunday added.
