David Cudjoe Blames Wa Park For Defeat In MTN FA Cup

Asokwa Deportivo attacking hotshot David Cudjoe has blamed the poor quality of the Wa Sports Stadium pitch for their elimination in the MTN FA Cup.

The disappointed Ghana youth international bemoaned the undulating nature of the Wa Park for his side’s 1-0 defeat away to Rockets FC which ended their cup journey.

The 16 year old attacking prodigy set the Wa Park alight in the second half but could do little to extend his side’s cup campaign past the round of 16.

A first half opening strike from Isaac Bawa proved to be the eventual winner in the tie despite the resistance from the giant killing visitors.

Speaking to Sportscrusader.com after the clash at the Wa Sports Stadium, the Deportivo striker said, “The Park is not good and didn’t allow us to play any good football. It did not help our game plan even though we did our best as a team”.

He added, “We will put this defeat behind us and move forward as a team especially ahead of our next league matche”.

David Cudjoe rose to fame when he led the national under 17 side to the ultimate trophy in a four nation invitational tournament staged in Namibia earlier this year.

The forward has since grown in leaps and bound on his return from the national spearheaded by his blistering treble in the GN Bank Division one league over the weekends.
