Accra Hearts of Oak sensational playmaker, Isaac Mensah has said he is working towards getting even better as a footballer now that he has firmly established himself in the team.
Mensah has been one of the star performers this season in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), helping the Phobians to some important wins along the line.
He has scored three goals for the Phobians this season as they sit fourth on the GPL log with 26 points at the half way point of the season, two points behind the leaders Wa All Stars.
And Mensah says he is determined to work even harder than before as he aims to get to the very top of the game on a personal level and, most importantly, for club and country.
“I am well focused and determined to prove myself at the top of the game,” Mensah told the club’s official newspaper, the Hearts News as he aims to take his game to new heights.
Mensah envisages that the second round of the GPL season will be tough but is hopeful that together with his colleagues at Accra Hearts of Oak, they will rise to the challenge.
“It is the target of every player to be seen doing well for their club, and, that also remains my chief aim going into the second round of the season,” he added.
“I have been keeping myself in good shape since the league went on break, and, I hope it will reflect in my work rate. We have returned to training ahead of the start of the second round of the league and I must work hard,” Mensah said.
“Together with my team-mates, we will work extra hard to make the most of our opportunity in the second round of the campaign, and, hopefully, we will win the ultimate at the end of the season,” he promised.
