Jerry Akaminko Re-Joins Former Club

Jerry Akaminko has re-joined Turkish side Eskisehirspor with the defender signing a three-year deal with the Red Lightnings.

He returns to the club just six months after terminating his contract and, will be seeking to make the most of this fresh challenge.

The deal was brokered by his UK-based agent Ibrahim Sana and it is understood that he could leave the Turkish second tier club if they fail to gain promotion in his first year at the Eskisehir Atatürk Stadyumu.

Akaminko rose to prominence with Ghana prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup but, failed to make the Black Stars squad for the Brazil event after suffering an injury in a friendly against the Netherlands.

He missed the Mundial and sat out the entire 2014/2015 season as he went through rehabilitation to get himself back to his previous levels.

His club, Eskisehirspor was relegated from the Turkish top-flight league after finishing 17th in last season’s championship.
