Chelsea Chief Scout "Spills the Beans" About Mourinho

Jose Mourinho only wants to work with fully developed players, according to Chelsea scout Piet de Visser, who was angry with the former Blues boss for allowing Kevin de Bruyne to leave.

Manchester City attacker De Bruyne was sold to Wolfsburg for £18 million in 2013, impressing hugely thereafter in the Bundesliga and earning a £55m transfer to City at the start of this season.

De Visser insisted he urged Mourinho to consider playing De Bruyne while he was at Stamford Bridge, but said the Portuguese had already made up his mind that De Bruyne wanted to leave.

“I was angry with Mourinho when De Bruyne left Chelsea,” De Visser told HLN Sport. “We had some discussions. Then he would say: “Piet, I find it a shame too, but the boy wants to leave. He doesn’t want to train under me anymore.’

“I told him: “Yes, the boy wants to play. He’s ready for it.” I have tried to convince him of Kevin’s qualities. But then Mourinho repeated: “Piet, he doesn’t want to train.”

Mourinho was sacked from his role at Chelsea in December last year following a disastrous start to the season, but is now heavily linked with the Manchester United job as a possible replacement for Louis van Gaal.
