Hearts Defender Calls for Fans Support Against WAFA

Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Richard Akrofi, has called for full support from the fans for Wednesday’s must win premier league game against WAFA.

Akrofi, has built a formidable defensive partnership at the back with club captain, Robin Gnagne and has been one of the Phobians best performers of the ongoing 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.

The 6ft tall stalwart centre back in an interview with the club’s website rallied the fans to keep supporting the side especially in this difficult time of no win in three games and the recent MTN FA cup exit to division one side, Samartex FC.

He said, “We have been training normally as a team and everything is ok [for us ahead of the WAFA game]. We want the supporters to throw their weight behind us to win the game on Wednesday so that the tension will come down small and everything will slide.”

“We are confident of winning tomorrow’s match – and at all cost, we will get the three points for the club. Our complete focus is on the WAFA game and we are all determined and ready to give 100% to win the game for Accra Hearts of Oak.”

“The fans should be there in their numbers just like they have always been doing and keep us in their prayers so that we overcome what is in front of us,” he added.

Hearts of oak last home game was the 1-3 mauling at the hands of league leader’s, Wa All Stars.
