Liverpool Striker Fails To Impress On LoanLiverpool flop Mario Balotelli has been warned he has ‘no more chances’ to try and secure a permanent move to Italian giants AC Milan.
Balotelli, who moved to Anfield from Milan for £16million in the summer of 2014, failed to make the cut in the Premier League and headed back to the San Siro on loan.
Reds bosses are keen to offload Balotelli and his £90,000-a-week wages with Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Christian Benteke all ahead in the Anfield striking pecking order.
And as Balotelli considers his options for next season, he’s been given a reality check by new Milan boss Cristian Brocchi.
Brocchi, who succeeded the sacked Sinisa Mihajlovic this week, has told Balotelli he’s running out of time to prove his worth.
‘If a player thinks he can decide the match by himself, that’s not right,’ Brocchi said after being unveiled as Milan’s new boss.
‘I found Mario very eager and he promised me he’ll give his all in these last few games.
‘In the past he knew full well he’d be given other chances, but now he realises there are no more chances. The hope is he can use these last matches to show his quality.
‘It’s important for me that he shows he truly cares about the Milan jersey. As a coach I always focused on mentality, because even the most talented players have to be strong mentally.’
