MLS-based Black Stars forward, David Accam, powered Chicago Fire into the semi finals of the 2016 US Open Cup semis.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian import opened the scoring for the MLS side in a 3-0 win over FL Strikers.
Accam converted the resultant spot-kick after he was brought down inside the 18-yard-box to hand Chicago a 1-0 lead just five minutes into the game.
The speedy hitman has been unplayable since returning from a career threatening injury in the past few weeks with an insatiable appetite for goals.
Late strikes from Layne Thian and Micheal Leeau ousted Flickers from the domestic FA Cup.
Elsewhere in the tourney, Charles Sarpong lasted the full 90 minutes as Philadelphia Union were crushed 4-2 on penalties away to New England Revolution.
Emmanuel Boateng also featured for LA Galaxy in a 4-2 win over Seatle Sounders at the Union grounds.
