Arsenal Join Manchester United In Race For Leicester City Forward

Arsenal and Manchester United have joined in the race to secure the signature of in – form Leicester city Algerian forward Miyad Mahrez.

The Algerian has blossomed under new manager Claudio Ranieri but it is his partnership with this seasons English premier league top scorer, Jamie Vardy that has propelled the Foxes to the top of league table – not many saw this coming.

Mahrez, 26, has scored 14 – goals and seven assists and his cheeky easy to beat Defenders has not gone unnoticed as the big clubs circulate to secure his services in the January transfer window.

Though Leicester City’s Italian manager,  Claudio Ranieri made it clear after his side defeated defending champions Chelsea that “no team can afford to pay for the services of Vardy and Mahrez” this has not prevented second place Arsenal to be linked with a move for Algerian international.

Claudio Ranieri at his press yesterday said, both players – in reference to Jamie Vardy and Miyad Mahrez to respect their contractual agreement with Leicester City.
