Sports Minister Gives Football Fans Hope On World Cup Commission’s Work
Dr Mustapha Ahmed, minister of Youth and Sports, has given Ghanaians and the general public the assurance that the Government white paper of the Justice Dzamefe Commission shall be fully implemented.
Ghana made the wrong headlines the wrong way after the nation airlifted $3 million cash to settle issues relating to the appearance fee and bonuses.
The players staged a revolt to forfeit a world Cup match against Portugal and it’s this many claim brought the camp to a stand still and caused indefinite bans to be placed on two players, Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng after the pair were expelled from camp over appearance fee row and other acts of insubordination.
Many Ghanaians have been expectant to see the recommendations of the 400 page document implemented as supported by the White Paper.
However, speaking in an interview with Nhyira FM in Kumasi, Dr Mustapha assured, “the White Paper shall be fully implemented. There are phases of the document that needs to be addressed by various bodies. They are currently on it and very soon, Ghanaians shall hear what will be done.”
